Address:
5014 – 50 St Ranfurly, Alberta Canada
Just down the road from the intersection of Hwy’s 16 and 36 is the Hamlet of Ranfurly. Although small in population, it is quaint in scenery with the Recreational and Agricultural Centre as the hub of the community.
In Ranfurly, you will be pleasantly surprised by the museum; located in a former classroom; filled with artifacts and treasures. Other features of the Ag Society Centre include a Visitors Centre which is open May – August with free overnight parking. The Seniors Citizens Club hosts a pot-luck supper once a month. There are two yearly bingos, one in the spring, the other the fall. Finally, Ranfurly is well known for its Steak Suppers held the last Tuesday of ever other month: planned so far are February, April, June, August with the Fair and October..
On August 10, plan to attend the annual Ranfurly Agricultural Fair. It features a morning parade that is “twice as nice” as to give our spectators a better view the second time round, a horse show for young and old, a judged bench show plus other entertainment, children’s games and evening steak supper.
