Highway 36 – Veterans Memorial
In remembrance of the sacrifices and contributions Alberta veterans have made to the province, the Government of Alberta has renamed Highway 36 the Veterans Memorial Highway.
Highway 36 is a north-south highway that connects southern Alberta to Kalyna Country. Use it to create a criss cross or north south tour of the area. It is a quieter, more relaxing drive with both prairie and rolling parkland landscapes along the route. Highway 36 starts in southern Alberta just above the Coutts (Alberta/Montana) Border Crossing and is one of the best routes to travel to our area from Southern Alberta.
