We grow vegetables, herbs, and berries, naturally, offering a wide variety. We can also provide historic interpretation tours of the Victoria District National Historic Site as well as pioneer rural settlement in the region. We can give you agricultural culinary tour including a honey operation, cheese making, and more. Your tour could be arrange to coincide with a cultural event in the county. This is a beautiful area to canoe or cycle; and we may be able to arrange an outdoor mean or tenting area. Whatever type of heritage you’d like to discover, we can custom fit for your group.

Market Garden and Heritage tours. Everything can be personalized. On the riverlot farm, we grow, berries, herbs, and a wide variety of vegetables, naturally. Our farm also yields syrups, jams, and sauces. In addition, we can provide groups with heritage tours-historic or agricultural. We can show and explain how the Victoria District National Historic Site came to be this living example of Canadian history, take you to Metis Crossing and Fort Victoria, and show you other pioneer rural settlement in the region providing you with an experience from fur trade through farm settlement, the boomtown era and into the modern agricultural era. We can give you agricultural/culinary tours including free range poultry and pigs, a honey operation, cheese making, and more. Your tour could be arranged to coincide with a cultural event in the county depending on what you are looking for. This is a beautiful area to canoe or cycle; and we may be able to arrange an outdoor meal or tenting area. Whatever type of heritage you’d like to see, we can custom fit for your group.

Located within the Victoria District National Historic Site and alongside the North Saskatchewan River, Heritage Farms is a busy place. We are engaged with many cultural and historical activities, within the county and around home. This is a perfect fit for our acreage enterprises which includes a variety of vegetable and greens production, berry plantations, home-made foods, berry wine making, and yes, maple syrup squeezed from our local Manitoba Maple trees.

We invite you to come see this beautiful region. For a lovely country drive, get onto the Victoria Trail by turning east from highway 831. You’ll enjoy the trail that takes you winding through undulating farmland in the rich river valley while you can make stops at historic points of interest. When you arrive at Heritage Farms, you can see how local foods are grown and made. There is a small store selling items such as local crafts, and canned goods. View our gardens and purchase fresh vegetables once the season is underway. You can pick your own berries if you want to spend family time gathering your own food. In springtime, you’ll find us tapping trees to collect sap from Manitoba Maples boiling it into maple syrup.
