The Ukrainian Canadian Archives and Museums of Alberta (UCAMA) has served the public for over 41 Years.
UCAMA has a collection of over 4,000 ethnographic artifacts (clothing, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, paintings, musical instruments, pioneer implements, military uniforms, etc.) and more than 5,000 photographs documenting the Ukrainian Canadian experience. In addition, UCAMA also holds archival documents, an extensive library containing over 40,000 volumes and one of the largest repositories of Ukrainian language newspapers outside of Ukraine.
The current building housing UCAMA’s collections is bursting at the seams. The historically designated Lodge Hotel at 9660 Jasper Avenue has been roughly half renovated by UCAMA but UCAMA is seeking donations to finish the structure’s transformation into the architectural award winning new МУЗЕЙ (museum) for UCAMA and its cultural partners. UCAMA offers several donor recognition programs and each donation is fully tax deductible.
