Visitors are always welcome in Glendon, the pyrogy capital of the world. Located just 8 km north of Hwy 28 on Sec. Hwy 882, the Village of Glendon hosts some of the region’s best summer activities with thousands of visitors coming out to see all of the action. Car & truck enthusiasts flock to Glendon on the 2nd & 3rd weekends of August for Derby Daze and Glendon’s Cruise Nite. Pyrogy Park … home of the world famous pyrogy, is a great place to stop by for a picnic and, of course, a picture in front of the world's largest pyrogy. There is a play area for children, fresh water, a trailer dumping station and camping stalls if you'd like to stay over. Visitors and their cameras are welcome every day of the year, but on the September long weekend, the Village really celebrates. The Pyrogy Festival brings together music, Ukrainian dancing, culture and the infamous pyrogy eating contest. Many recreational and fishing lakes surround Glendon, a full-service community. And like the Pyrogy Song says, “Make sure you tell your friends that in Glendon the fun never ends.”
