Clandonald

The Little Hamlet with Lots of Heart

Address:
Clandonald, Alberta

For contact information please see the County of Vermilion River and the Clandonald Agricultural Society.

Clandonald is situated in the County of Vermilion River in East Central Alberta, two kilometres south of Highway 45 or ten kilometres east of Highway 41. An active small-town business sector and community groups host many events throughout the year. One of the main events in Clandonald is the Country Fair held in August. Free admission allows everyone from all ages to enjoy this old-time country fair.

The agricultural grounds have been upgraded with a bandshelter, concession booth with washroom facilities, and campsite building. A modern hall holds many of the community's social functions. It has added facilities of six power-and-water RV sites, dumping station and a ball diamond. The Arena is used year round for skating, outdoor education, 4-H activities and more. Although Clandonald is small in size, it does live up to its motto, “The Little Hamlet with Lots of Heart.”
