Description: This fine dining experience is housed in a meticulously restored railroad coach and is surrounded by several cabooses, two of which have been converted into overnight accommodations. The collection includes five CN and two BC Rail mainline cabooses. Join Eva for a Saturday lunch or wine and dine in style in “Mount Lefroy”, the dining car. This humble abode delivers the finest tea and fresh homemade meals you can find. The original store is located in Ryley and can serve you with over 130 blends of tea; the Tofield store has 70 blends available. Bring the whole family to enjoy our weekend specials - two bacon eggers ($6) and a yummy brunch for only $7. Mom and Dad can treat themselves to some free tea samples, while the kids can enjoy making their own blends of tea.

Description: Bring down the whole family for a good old-fashioned weekend filled with delightful music, crafts, animals, games, local food, entertainment and a taste of the country!
Maple Park Farm is a greenhouse and garden centre that is filled to the brim with beautiful annual bedding plants and a stunning array of perennials!
In addition, they have a wonderful vegetable patch – their Crateful of Goodness program can provide you with a weekly supply of fresh veggies. Their country store is full of fresh baked pies and buns. They have at least six event dates that run throughout the year.
Family Adventure Weekend Experiences: The whole family will love the greenhouse, country store, maze, vegetable and flower garden as well as the animals. For Dad, there’s a terrific display of farm equipment and grain grinding demonstrations at 11am and 3pm daily
Old Fashioned Games will be held at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm – potato sack races, hobby horse rodeo, etc.
Kids Activities: Kids will have a great time picking fresh veggies from the vegetable garden, picking and making a floral arrangement or simple corsage from the flower garden, visiting the animals and participating in the old-fashioned games. Ministik Cottage Farm will also be on this property for the weekend and you can see their adorable bunnies.
In addition, they will be having a BBQ and homemade desserts all day featuring local products. There are also a limited number of picnic areas for those who wish to bring their own food.

The Flower Lady

Description: This is a beautiful 13 acre site surrounded by tall pines. The greenhouse sells annuals, perennials, shrubs, herbs and pots. As well, plans are afoot for 2 tilled gardens to grow and sell you the freshest veggies possible. Also attending at this site will be a Rhodiola rosea producer who will be able to tell you all about this hardy sedum and its marketing power.
Something you should know: an additional service offered by The Flower Lady is that she will plant and maintain your flower garden. How’s that for a neat service!

Description: Margaret has been busy planting gladioli and other flowers on this site for many years. This year she has 10,000 – 12,000 gladioli just waiting to take your breath away. Raspberries, Saskatoons and vegetables available in season. Our produce and flowers are sold at various farmers markets or on site at our farm located south of Holden.
Family Adventure Weekend Experiences: Take the chance to see gorgeous masses of colourful glads and amazing sunflowers and the beautiful gardens. Your children can make a delightful nosegay. Peggy will be doing tours and floral arrangement demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Viking Station Gallery, Arts Centre and Tea House

Description: The Viking Station was built in 1909 and used by CN until the 1970s. After standing empty for years a group of dedicated volunteers decided to restore the building to house an art centre. Through grants, private and corporate donations and countless volunteer hours the Station was moved back from the tracks and is used year round for classes and meetings. Viking is one of the few places that VIA Rail will stop at to pick up or drop off passengers if notified.
Adventure Weekend Experiences: The tea house and gallery will be open at the times noted below. Enjoy soup, sandwiches and desserts with hot and cold drinks. Visitors can also enjoy the Farm Fresh Produce and Craft Market which will be held in the station parking lot on Sunday, August 16. The kids will have a great time in the beautiful adjoining park and playground.
