The Ribstones Historic Site
Be sure to check out the Ribstones Historic Site. A short distance east of  Viking on Highway 14 is a Point of Interest Sign and directions to a Native ceremonial area on a high point of land, thought to be connected with fertility rites for the buffalo. These Ribstones (large rocks) depict buffalo ribs carved by the Indians - a sacred and revered symbol for the people of the first nations; thought to be over a thousand years old.
