Elk Island Retreat is a privately owned campground that features Tipi camping. Hidden in this secluded little piece of God's handiwork are 5 tipis with wooden floors and 2 trappers cabins with built-in bunks and wood burning stoves. There are also tent sites and fully serviced sites, cook shelters with barbecues, coin operated showers and laundry, free firewood, group camping, day use and winter camping in the trapper cabins.
