Welcome to the County of Two Hills, a diverse region of history, recreation, agricultural and industrial opportunities situated only 1.5 hours from Edmonton. It is strategically located with two major highways, 45 & 36 passing through, as well as the North Saskatchewan river on the Northern border of the county. Steeped in history, numerous forts and ferry crossings were established on the counties’ river banks.
Recreational opportunities in the county are many, including two municipal parks, Jackfish Lake & J. Dudar Park near Myrnam and Sandy Lake Park west of the town of Two Hills, just off Highway 45. Both have a number of services available for campers. We are sure you will enjoy your stay! Lakeside resort living is also popular around Lac Sante.
North of Derwent, the Silverberry Recreation Area is popular for horseback riding and hiking on its backountry trails. Signs are posted along Hwy 45 to the main staging area.
