Travel to St. Paul and the Northeast from Edmonton has been made easier with the Highway 29 designation. Highway 29 was created in 2006 by renaming a number of existing highway segments. Highway 29 (formerly 637) starts by Lamont, connects to Highway 36 by Duvernay and continues north with Highway 36 to St. Brides, and east again through St. Paul to Highway 41.
Located 225 kilometres northeast from Edmonton, the County of St. Paul has a diversified economy in agriculture and oil and gas industry activity. The main trade centres are the towns of St. Paul and Elk Point. An abundance of lakes, tourist attractions and camping facilities await you in the County.
